Weigh-in Report from Glasgow: Taylor needs a second try

IBF junior welterweight champion Ivan Baranchyk, his challenger Josh Taylor, IBF bantamweight champion Emmanuel Rodriguez and his chllenger Naoyas Inoue are all ready for their World Boxing Super Series bouts tomorrow at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. All four made weight, with Taylor initially falling short but making it on the second attempt. Taylor showed up at 140.2 pounds and got down to the 140 limit. Baranchyk scaled in at 139.6. Both bantamweights weighed in at 177.7. Here are their final quotes from the weigh-in:

Josh Taylor, Scotland (14-0, 12 KOs): 
 
“I feel great,” said Taylor. “I can’t wait to get my hands on him and get the title to Scotland.”
 
 
IBF champion Emmanuel Rodriguez, Puerto Rico (19-0, 12 KOs): 
 
“We are prepared,” said Rodriguez. “Tomorrow I will still be champion of the world!”
 
WBA regular title holder Naoya Inoue, Japan (17-0, 15 KOs):
 
“He looks like he is in great shape,” said Inoue. “He is a good fighter and we expect a tough fight.”
