WBA sets purse bid for Roman-Akhmadaliev

The WBA has ordered its 122-pound champion Daniel Roman of the United States and mandatory contender Murodjon Akhmadaliev of Uzbekistan to go to s purse bid on July 2nd if the parties can not close a deal to fight each other. The WBA has postponed the purse bid one time already. The minimum bid will be $120,000 to be split 75% for champion Roman and 25% for challenger Akhmadaliev.  The purse bid will take place at the offices of the WBA in Panama City. Roman will be making the fifth defense of his championship, which he won in September 2017 against Japan's Shun Kubo.
