Venezuela's Barroso gets quality win at 140 pounds

Ismael Barroso W10 Yves Ulysse Jr. ... In a junior welterweight bout held at the Hangar in Costa Mesa, California, Venezuela's Ismael Barroso defeated Canada's Yves Ulysse Jr. (18-2, 9 KOs).  Barroso, now 22-3-2 with 20 KOs, prevailed over the slick boxing Ulysse by unanimous decision. The judges scored 117-111 and 115-113 (twice). Barroso, a heavy-handed 36 year-old southpaw, is a former WBA interim lightweight title holder whose career is highlighted by a fifth-round technical knockout of Kevin "The Hammer" Mitchell that garnered him the interim belt. After that, Barroso lost a WBA lightweight title shot to Anthony Crolla. He moved up in weight in 2018 with mixed results, but this win puts Barroso in line for a big fight at 140 pounds. source: dazn
