A lquick overland left hand floored Mexico’s Briones midway through the second. Briones beat the count only for Colbert to finish the job with an ensuing flurry... Local junior middleweight Ve Shawn Owens (10-2, 9 KOs) returned to the win column with a hard-fought split decision over Alexis Gaytan (5-3, 2 KOs). A score of 76-75 in favor of Gayton was overruled by scores of 76-75 and 77-74 in favor of Owens, who survived a third-round knockdown to prevail.
