Tanzania's Hassan Mwakinyo to host Tshibangu Kayembe next week

Tanzania's Hassan Mwakinyo (16-2) is set to return on Friday August 14th, when he takes on Congolese Tshibangu Kayembe in a junior middleweight bout to be held in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Riding a six-fight winning-streak, Mwakinyo, is best known for a 2018 upset victory over former European champion Sam Eggington in England, but the twenty-five year-old has accomplished much more than that since turning pro in 2015. Less than a year into his paid career he was Tanzanian national champion, and in February of 2017 he defeated 14-1 Namibian Anthony Jarmann. He build on the Eggington-triumph by staying busy with decent victories over Argentinian Sergio Eduardo Gonzales and Filipino tough-guy Arnel Tinampay in 2019. Now he is ready to go a step further.

Tshibangu Kayembe (9-0-3) is a 26 year-old who will be travelling to Tanzania with ambitions to take his own career to the next level. He is a solid underdog, but he also doesn't know how to lose yet.
