Golden Boy Promotions lost the co-feature on tonight's DAZN-broadcast show at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. Avery Sparrow was reportedly arrested on an oustanding warrant, leaving Ryan Garcia without an opponent. Golden Boy was unable to arrange for a late-minute replacement on terms accpetable to Garcia, a huge draw and social media presence. Garcia was very unhappy with his promoter, tweeting, "Due to unfortunate events, I will not be fighting and they will not be compromising on their mistakes! I did everything in my power. I came in on weight and trained my ass off. God’s in control now the rest will take care of itself... Thank you for everyone’s support!" The show goes on with a main event iof WBO 154-pound champion Jaime Munguia (33-0, 26 KOs) defending against African warrior Patrick Allotey (40-3, 30 KOs).
