Ronny Rios bursts Diego De La Hoya hype bubble

Ronny Rios KO6 Diego De La Hoya... Californian's Ronny Rios burst the Diego De La Hoya hype bubble over the weekend, stopping the cousin of the promoter / hall of famer Oscar De La Hoya in round six over the weekend in Carson, California. Rios (31-3) landed a hard uppercut in round six that dropped De La Hoya (21-1) to a knee. De La Hoya stood up slowly on the count of eight but was clearly hurt, and seemed to nod his head no when he was asked to continue fighting. With the win, Rios moves to the front of the line for a WBA 122-pound title shot.  The title is currently held by Daniel Roman, who also owns the IBF version of the 122-pound championship. source: wba / youtube video
