Ronnie Shields: Efe Ajagba will continue to show that he's a force to be reckoned with

Greg Leon: Efe is in action tomorrow night, what can boxing fans look forward to seeing from against Michael Wallisch? Ronnie Shields: "Efe is ready to go and he wants to keep improving. He's out to show people that he is a contender and he's almost to that status where you can call him a contender. We're not quite there yet, but he just wants to keep on proving that he's going to be a force to be reckoned with." GL: Is Wallisch going the distance or what? Shoot, will he go more than two rounds? Ronnie Shields: "I don't know if he's going to last more than two, but I think Efe is going to get him out of there. This is a big dude, he's 6'5 and he's 19-1. I don't know, I hate to say we're going to go in there and get a knockout, but with Efe anything he hits is going to fall. We just want to get in there and do the things that he's got to do to set up his power punches."

GL: There's been certain fighters throughout history that when they hit you shit happens. Do you think Efe is one of these guys?

RS: "Absoltuely, he's one of those guys."

GL: A lot of people want to take their time with him and give it another year or two, but he's already on Showtime Championship Boxing now. At this pace that seems to be difficult. How will you be able to pull him back and keep him on different tracks when he wants to run in the Kentucky Derby?

RS: "I don't think we're pulling him back now. We're going to keep him busy is the best way I could put it. After this fight, if everything goes the way we plan it, then we're going to be looking for another name."
