Ema Kozin W10 Chris Namus... Slovenian middleweight Ema Kozin scored what is arguably her most significant win to date, defeating former IBF world titlist Chris Namus at the CPI Box Club in Donauwoerth, Germany on Saturday, October 17th. Kozin scored a unanimous decision over Uruguay´s Namus, age 33, who at times gave the 21 year-old southpaw plenty to think about. Judges Diana Drews-Milani and Maurizio Rinaudo both scored the fight 97-93, while judge Dominic Kuhaupt had it slightly wider at 98-92, all for Kozin who improved her professional record to 20-0-1. Namus drops to 25-6.
 
Katelynn Phelan TKO5 Jessica Schadko... In the co-feature, previously undefeated local welterweight Jessica Schadko was upset by classy underdog Katelynn Phelan. The 20 year old from Ireland was a step ahead of Schadko from the start, and was leading on the cards by scores of 50-45, 49-46 and 49-46 when Schadko was retired before the start of round six, giving the visitor a technical knockout victory. Phelan improved her professional ledger to 4-0, and Schadko, still only nineteen and with plenty of time to rebound, sees her record dip to 8-1.
 
Jan Marsalek KO9 Fatih Duebues Another underdog, Jan Marsalek from the Czech Republic came from behind to wipe out previously unbeaten Fatih Duebues in a light welterweight bout. Marsalek, age 33, knocked Duebues out cold with a clean left hook at 0:33 of round nine, taking his record to 8-2. Duebues, age 26, falls to 4-1.
