New Jersey junior middleweight Thomas "Cornflake" LaManna (27-2-1 with 9 KOs) takes on Puerto Rico's Carlos Garcia Hernandez (15-21-1 with 12 KOs) in the eight-round main event on Saturday, July 20th at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City.  LaManna-Hernandez will headline a ten-bout card promoted by Rising Star Promotions. The hard-hitting Hernandez may have a deceiving record. He has big wins over Jeffrey Acevedo (8-0), Manny Woods (13-3-1), a first-round stoppage over contender Patrick Day (11-1-1) and a second-round stoppage over Travis Castellon (16-0-1). He has faced a staggering 17 undefeated opponents including future champions Jermell and Jermall Charlo plus Yordenis Ugas.

 

The 27 year-old LaManna is unbeaten in his last seven outings (6-0-1) but he'll be making his first start in 2019. LaManna has wins over Kendal Mena (20-3), Matthew Strode (25-6) and in his last bout, LaManna won an eight-round unanimous decision over Mike Arnaoutis in November 16th. This will be the 21st fight in Atlantic City for LaManna, and his third at The Showboat.
