Josh Taylor believes four-belt unification will happen this year

WBA / IBF junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor has revealed that his confidence is at an all-time high – and he believes he will knock out WBC / WBO counterpart Jose Ramirez when they have their expected four-belt world championship showdown later this year. Taylor (17-2 including the World Series of Boxing) looks set to collide with WBC and WBO super-lightweight champion Ramirez (26-0, 17 KOs) in a massive battle this summer. Both are confident of victory, but Taylor has explained just why he is so certain that he will get his hand raised. He told IFL TV: “I’ve got my dream fight, and it’s about winning the fight more than anything else. I really do believe I’m going to beat him and knock him out."

Taylor continued, “My confidence is through the roof since my last three fights. Without getting big-headed, I feel like I’m unbeatable at the moment. I think it’s going to take a real special fighter for me to get beat, or I’ll just have to have a really bad night. Ramirez is up against it as well. He’s up against a man that is hungrier than him, and I feel like I’m a better fighter, who is more skilful and more spiteful. He is a unified world champion and a good fighter, but I just believe I’ve got the beating of him in every department.”
