Details are very slim but according to television station KTRK in Houston, WBC regular middleweight champion Jermall Charlo is a suspect in an assault investigation. It should be stressed that Charlo has not been arrested or even charged with a crime yet, but the investigation is ongoing. The alleged assault took place at Charlo's mansion in Missouri City, Texas. Jermall Charlo and his twin brother Jermell both hold WBC title, although Jermall's WBC title is a a secondary one because Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is still recognized by the WBC. Charlo previously held a junior middleweight title but moved up in weight and, at age 30, he still has not been in a signature fight despite his 30-0 record.
