Felix "Tuto" Zabala 1937-2021

Promoter Felix “Tuto” Zabala, founder of the All Star Boxing company and promoter of Latin boxing, died Thursday night in Miami. Born on October 18, 1937 in Pinar del Río, Cuba, Zabala was amajor figure in the Florida boxing scene. He organized important and memorable evenings with champions such as Daniel Zaragoza, Miguel “Happy” Lora, Wilfredo Vázquez Sr, among many more spectaculars. Sadly, Felix’s career ended in January 2001, when he suffered a stroke, which led to further health problems for the next 20 years. His legacy is carried on by his son, Felix, Jr. Boxingtalk joins the WBC in sending its deepest condolences to the family and many friends of “Tuto.”
