Estrada makes easy work of Sor Rungvisai, Roman unifies 122 pound titles, Sims goes ten

Juan Francisco Estrada UD12 SriSaket Sor Rungvisai: After an opening round that was fought at a hellacious pace, this fight was the Juan Francisco Estrada (39-3 26KO) show. The former flyweight champion, who hails from Mexico, easily outpunched, out-boxed and out-pointed the former top ten pound for pounder in a way that made you wonder why (like Chocolatito before him) SRR (47-5-1 41KO), was ever on so many lists in the first place. Official scores were 115-113 (twice) and 116-112, but the fight was not as close as those scores would indicate. Boxingtalk scored it 118-110 for Estrada, who captured the WBC super flyweight title with the win. Source: DAZN

Daniel Roman W12 TJ Doheny: Daniel Roman (27-2-1, 10 KOs) handed previously undefeated TJ Doheny his first loss and unified Doheny's IBF 122-pound title with his own and WBA version. ROman put on a sensational performance in a fight-of-the-year candidate. Roman decked Doheny in round two, was cut from an accidental clash of heads in the tenth and scored a second knockdown when a body shot sent Doheny to the canvas in the eleventh. Doheny (21-1, 15 KOs) fought with the heart of a champion but was borderline overwhlemed in this one. Official scores were 116-110 (twice) and a ridiculous 113-113. Boxingtalk scored it 117-109. Anthony Sims Jr W10 Vaughn Alexander: Undefeated super middleweight Anthony Sims Jr improved to 19-0 with a sharp performance against a determined Vaughn Alexander. Sims, going the ten-round distance for the first time in his young career, fought behind his jab.  It was a quick and sharp jab coupled with his far superior footwork. That combination was a difficult style for Alexander to deal with. In round six, Alexander was able to land several powerful chopping right hands that got Sims' attention. Alexander looked to make a fight of it as he pressed the action, but Sims was content to box and keep Alexander at bay. Official scores were 96-94 and 98-92 (twice) for the Indian resident, Sims. Boxingtalk scored it 97-93. Source: DAZN
