Derevyanchenko rebounds from Jacobs loss with decision win over Culcay

Sergiy Derevyanchenko W12 Jack Culcay: Sergiy Derevyanchenko (pictured) rebounded from his split decision loss to IBF middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs with a unanimous decision victory over a determined Jack Culcay. The majority of the bout was nip and tuck but relatively uneventful. That all changed in the tenth round when Culcay hurt Derevyanchenko and went balls to the wall trying to get him out of there. Culcay dominated the late rounds, but it was the classic case of too little too late. Derevyanchenko was underwhelming and far from impressive, which could help him secure a major bout in the near future. Official scores were 116-112 (twice) and 115-113. Source: FS1

Joey Spencer W6 Osias Vasquez: Joey Spencer went the distance for the first time in his young career and finished with a one-sided unanimous decision victory over Osias Vasquez. Even though the teenage junior middleweight did what he wanted when he wanted, he's clearly still a work in progress. Official scores were 59-53 and 60-52 (twice). Spencer improves to 7-0 (6KO), while Vasquez falls to 4-3. Source: FS1
