Clash of undefeated Kazakhs set for July 18th

For Kazakhstan's Arman Rysbek, this month’s super middleweight fight against fellow Kazakh Dauren Yeleussinov continues an exciting rivalry. The two men meet on an MTK Fight Night in Almaty (the largest city in the country) on July 18th – with the event airing live in the US on ESPN+, and worldwide on IFL TV. Rysbek (7-0, 6 KOs) will attempt to continue his momentum when he faces  Yelussinov (8-0-1, 7 KOs) in a 50-50 clash. While it may be the first meeting between the two in the paid ranks, they have already met twice before in the amateurs, and with the score at 1-1, there is extra meaning before the upcoming bout for Rysbek.

He said: “I know Dauren well, since we fought for the national team of Kazakhstan. During this time, we met twice and the score of our meetings is currently a draw at 1-1. The first time we met I won, and the second time I lost, so it’s already fuelling public interest because each of us will come out with the spirit of victory. All of the boxing fans will see an interesting duel, as it is two boxers who have no professional defeats in their careers. Everything is going according to plan in training and we are doing the necessary amount of work. With the coaching team, we put together a step-by-step plan and we are preparing well. The opponent is very serious and experienced, so I need to be 100% ready for the fight on July 18th.”

Along with the fight between Rysbek and Yelussinov, the bill will feature the highly-anticipated professional debuts for amateur sensations Tursynbay Kulakhmet and Talgat Shaiken. Abay Tolesh (5-0, 3 KOs), Berikbay Nurymbetov (5-0, 1 KO), Nurdos Tolebay (2-0, 1 KO) and Ray Seitzhanov (2-0) are also competing too, as they look to extend their respective unbeaten records.
