One of the highkights of boxing in 2021 in the boxing world was the four-belt, world junior middlewight championship fight between Jermell Charlo and Brian Castaño, which took place on July 17th in San Antonio, Texas.  The fight ended in a draw and the American Charlo kept his WBA, WBC and IBF belts, while Castaño kept his WBO belt.  Castaño will have the opportunity to face Charlo again in a rematch that is expected to take place between February and March.

 

For months, the Argentinean Charlo has been working with his sights set on this fight and in early January he began the final part of the preparation in Los Angeles, California. At 32 years of age, he seems to be in the prime of his career and wants to surprise Charlo in this occasion.  The second fight between these two fighters is one of the most anticipated by the fans because the previous one was so good, and a victory for either fighter will leave another undisputed champion in boxing today.
