Ex-world title holder Ivan Baranchyk (pictured) and Gabriel Bracero in a 140-pound battle this Saturday, and two divisions heavier at 154, Israil Madrimov and Alejandro Barrera will do battle on the same show. Both fights will be broadcast by DAZN and the fights will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show, headlined by former world middleweight champion Gennadiy Golovkin against Sergey Deryanchenko for the vacant IBF middleweight title, marks the fist boxing show at Madison Square Garden since in June. Baranchyk (19-1, 12 KOs) briefly held the IBF 140-pound championship. He will be coming into the fight after taking his first professional loss to Josh Taylor back in May. Gabriel Bracero (25-3-1, 6 KOs) last fought in July of 2018 when he knocked out Artemio Reyes.
Israil Madrimov (listed at 3-0 with 3 KOs but more accurately 9-1 including pro bouts in the World Series of Boxing) is trained by Joel Diaz who claims Madrimov “is the next superstar in the sport.” He is being fast tracked and will face Alejandro Barrera (29-5, 18 KOs) who is coming into the fight with a 1-3 record over the last four years. source: wba
